Know Your Numbers

Tags: Physical

You keep a fair share of numbers in your head – the phone numbers of family, banking PINs, birthdays, and tons more.

But there are few other numbers you should keep track of to monitor your overall health. The American Heart Association recommends that you be aware of five key metrics:

  • Total Cholesterol
  • HDL (good) Cholesterol
  • Blood Pressure
  • Blood Sugar
  • Body Mass Index (BMI)

These numbers are important because they will allow you and your healthcare provider to determine your risk for developing potentially dangerous conditions.

All U.S.-based American Airlines team members are eligible for a biometric screening at no cost through any onsite clinic or LabCorp with a lab form. At a larger location without an onsite clinic? No problem. You can schedule your screening at an onsite event. You’ll even earn $100 in Wellness Rewards when you get your biometric screening if you are enrolled in the Core, Standard, Value or PPO 80/90/100 medical option.

Learn about your health numbers by scheduling a biometric screening today.
